FAQs

Please don’t hesitate to reach out directly with any questions regarding your event.

We’re always happy to help!

In the meantime, here are some answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions!

+ Do you travel? and how far?

Yes, and we love it! There may be travel fees added based upon your location, and possibly lodging. If it's within a couple hours of our home base, it's included at no extra charge! We will travel anywhere on the planet that you'd like us to perform for you!

+ How long is a set?

A set is roughly 45 minutes to an hour followed by a short break, and we can provide a playlist for this time so it isn't awkwardly quiet!

+ What will you wear?

We like to look classy, and typically sport white dress shirts, black ties, suspenders, jackets, black dress pants and shoes, and our ladies wear black or colored dresses. If you have another preference, you can request it when booking!

+ How do you typically structure 3 sets at a wedding?

  1. 1 set for cocktail hour and 2 for dancing after dinner.
  2. All 3 for dancing after dinner and a playlist for cocktail hour.
  3. We can perform a 4th set if desired/time allows for it. Price for the 4th set varies according to band size!

+ Do you act as MC?

Yes, we can! As we get closer to your date, we will go through all the details with you to make sure nothing is overlooked!

+ Do you need a stage?

All we need is a hard surface to set up on. Our sound equipment won't function properly on grass, gravel, or dirt.

+ What is the booking process?

When you are ready to lock it in, we'll send you a contract to sign and you'll make a deposit via check, cash, or venmo. The remaining balance is due by the week before your event.

+ My parent/sibling/uncle/cousin is a musician. Can they perform with you?

Sure! As long as we know in advance that you're ok with this. Please have them bring their own instrument/mic if they plan to play!

+ What instruments are included in the 4, 5, 7, & 9 piece bands?

The core quartet(4) is drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard. At least one of these musicians will be a singer. The 5 piece adds either a female vocalist or horn. The 7 piece adds a female vocalist and 2 horns. The 9 piece adds a female vocalist, 3 horns, and a percussionist(congas, bongos, tambourine, shaker, etc)!

+ How do you decide what songs to play?

As far as what songs are actually played, we typically decide the set 1 of 3 ways.

  1. If there's a very specific vibe you're going for, you can hand select the songs from our songlist and we will play only those.
  2. If the most important thing for you is that your guests are having a good time and dancing, we prefer to use our best judgement and create the set organically.
  3. Hybrid the first 2 options. We will do our best to include your favorites and exclude your least favorites but otherwise will use our best judgement to keep people dancing!

+ Do you perform special dances and will you learn any new songs?

Please feel free to make any song requests! If we think we can pull them off well, we will learn up to 3 of them for you! If we aren't able to perform them, we can always DJ them during our breaks!

+ Do you perform the Jewish Horah?

Bar'chu et adonai ham'vorach

+ Do you bring all your own sound equipment?

We bring everything with us except electricity and long extension cords. We'll need close access to power.

+ I want to give my partner a recording of me singing a special song. Can you help me with that?

Yes! We have a studio and can provide you with a radio-ready recording for your special day!

+ Do you have any upcoming public shows?

Check out our upcoming public shows here!

+ Do you have a songlist?

We know far more songs that we even realize, but our 200+ most performed songs are listed here!

+ Do we need to know the exact times of our event when signing a performance agreement?

Nope! A ballpark number is fine. We can figure out the exact details as the event date gets closer!
